Bix receives the 2024 Women Entrepreneurs Award in the Health and Well-Being category
The award jury, organized by the Madrid City Council, grants Bix the runner-up prize for the best entrepreneurial project in the field of health and well-being.
On September 17, the 2024 Women Entrepreneurs Award ceremony took place at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque in Madrid, with the presence of Inmaculada Sanz, Deputy Mayor of Madrid, and Ángel Niño, Councilor for the Delegated Area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council.
The main goal of this award is to recognize original, creative, and innovative projects led by women, promoting and boosting female entrepreneurship, as well as generating employment and increasing economic activity in the city of Madrid, contributing to reducing the existing gender gap.
The 2024 Women Entrepreneurs Award is one of the Madrid City Council’s initiatives to recognize the work of women entrepreneurs, with a total allocation of 100.000€ distributed across different prizes.
The award is organized by the Madrid City Council and is sponsored by various organizations:
Womenalia, Asociación Española de Mujeres Empresarias de Madrid (ASEME), Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Onda Madrid, PwC España, IBM y Crisalion Mobility.
Bix, awarded one of the 11 runner-up prizes
Bix received the runner-up prize for the best entrepreneurial project in the field of health and well-being for the design, production, and commercialization of open-and-close underwear for women who cannot dress themselves due to mobility issues.
The “2024 Entrepreneur of the Year” awards have been granted to Ailin, MENOStrash, and Orygen.
The first prize went to AILIN, a diagnostics-as-a-service (DaaS) solution that enables health monitoring and the diagnosis of key health parameters from home using self-sampling kits and a diagnostic platform.
The second prize was awarded to MENOStrash, a company producing recyclable hangers made in Spain, offering a sustainable, robust, and eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic hangers.
Finally, the third prize of this edition was awarded to ORYGEN, a company addressing the issue of rural abandonment by finding sustainable and profitable solutions for unused land through AI-driven analytical models.
This edition saw participation from over 200 companies, with a total of 47 projects reaching the finals, competing for the 11 runner-up prizes and the 3 main awards.
